"Kevin" called to tell me he represented Microtech Support and that my computer was sending error messages due to a virus. I told him he was trying to scam me and hung up, and he called back to give me his name, company and phone number to verify. I referred him to the MicroTech Support website which states that they do not call people and hung up again.
I just got a call phone a number that showed up as private number but same message. Calling from microtech support and saying that I have a virus on my computer. I told him that I dont have any software that would call me for a virus alert and that this was a scam. He said no its not a scam and then he eventually hung up. But he had a very thick indian accent.
wow , got total support from this company .. Service was very good . They removed all the virus from my computer. Happy with the services.. This is not a scam . Have to listen them what they are trying do and tell .
I got a call from "Jim" who had an Indian accent. The number came up as "unknown". Jim told me that my computer had downloaded spyware and malware and was now sending error messages. I told him that I hadn't received any error messages.
Jim then told me that my computer was sending the messages to their server and affecting their company.
I was at work and asked him to give me information about the errors. He did not answer my questions. Jim then asked whether I was using a desktop or laptop. I did not answer him, but asked for his phone number.
He gave the 321-355-6949. I asked for a follow-up call later in the day and hung up.
I received a strange call from microsupport.com supposedly and they wanted access for my computer to clean up viruses and error messages. I told them i had an antivirus software and they still wanted to "clean" my computer?????
