Answered the landline because I'm waiting for a service appointment to call and setup a time. Caller ID shows up as STARNET-PAETE. They asked for my mother by name. There was a delay when I asked who they were. Their answer was "National Warranty Renewal service." I asked who the warranty was from and the caller balked. I pressed for her to answer and she said "we are a national underwriting firm for insurance and warranty renewal. We're calling about one of your vehicles." I told her never to call again and hung up.
Got a call from this number around 9:15 am this morning. Wanting me to purchased a renewal on my extended vehicle warranty. I told them I purchased a wrap-around extension when I purchased my vehicle and had about 2 years left on it. They went oh! then quickly hung up. Judging from the other calls from this number mentioned below they have either expanded their scam angles or have switched them up. Spokeo pulled up the Paete Starnet as owner of this number plus....it appears to be a VOI line, carrier listed as 'Bandwidth.com and originations are in the Melbourne, Fl area.
