The guy (Robert) identified himself as Microsoft Windows representative and tried to get me to open my computer because he knows someone hacked into my computer from South Africa and I need help from Windows.
I just received a call from this number, 321-445-1306, and he called himself Michael. The caller ID on my phone read 45-652-9384 but when I asked for his call back number he gave me 321-445-1306. He read my CLSID number from my computer back to me, told me he was from Windows (not Microsoft until I reminded him Windows was a Microsoft product) and tried to get me to allow him access to my computer. THIS IS A SCAM!!! I contacted Microsoft who told me they never call they email and have you call them if need be.
THIS S A SCAM TO GET ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER. THEY WILL EITHER DROP A VIRUS OR A KEYLOGGER INTO YOUR SYSTEM SO THEY CAN PICK UP YOUR LOG-IN PASSWORDS FOR BANKING, CREDIT CARDS, ETC.
The number they give you will be answered by a "supervisor" who is part of the scam.
I got this call from a guy with an Indian accent. I didn't trust it but the guy gave me his number to "check it out" and then I googled it. I almost went through with it.
