sound like a scam. they call themselves auto warranty company. when i asked who they were representing, the call hung up. funny, i don't even have warranty with them. there is no info on the company, or other phone # to reach them, sounds like a shady deal from fl, like the ballot chads from the last election.
Just got the call, but didn't pick up. Voice mail was a garbled half sentence: "...about to expire..." Sounds like the same group of half-assed simpletons. Found this web site and decided to put a little of my energy into it (I'm on the Natiional Do Not Call registry, for what it's apparently worth).
Just spoke to "National Auto Warranty/Dealer Services" a "broker" for insurance policies - and Royal Administration Services is one of their clients. But both claim to have no knowledge of the Florida company making these illegal calls, other then telling me it could be one of their competitors called "Dealer Services" (the person I spoke to said there are a number of "Dealer Services" in various states that are unrelated to them - AND that they're in the process of changing their name as a result!) and their Florida phone number is 732-918-9299. Guess who I'm calling next? My last call will be to Consumer Protection. We may not be able to this these creeps very hard, but if enough of us do it - perhaps it will make a difference!
They called, and I was given the ultimatum of speaking with an agent or I would have my car warranty status 'reclassified.' Since I knew that these jerks have nothing to do with any warranty I have, I went ahead an pressed '1' for an agent. When 'Paul' answered, the moment that I asked what comopany this was, he immediately disconnected. Calling the I.D. number back, I got a recording telling me that the number had been changed, and I was given another number. Calling the second number, a recording said that number was no longer in service. What a bunch of cheap, scam artists. If I pulled this sort of jazz, I would be in jail. Why are these crooks even allowed to exist?
