sound like a scam. they call themselves auto warranty company. when i asked who they were representing, the call hung up. funny, i don't even have warranty with them. there is no info on the company, or other phone # to reach them, sounds like a shady deal from fl, like the ballot chads from the last election.
I have just started getting these calls the past few weeks. First time I hit '1' to find out who they were and when an operator picked up, I could hardly understand what they said. I said "excuse me?" and they hung up.
Today they called again, I hit '1', and spoke to an operator.
Op: "Are you interested in extending your warranty?"
Me: "I'm interested in finding out how you got this phone number."
Op: "We get our phone numbers from a number of difference sources. Are you interested in extending your warranty?"
Me: "I'm still interested in finding out how you got MY phone number."
Op: "Hold on for a moment while I transfer you to get that information."
- I get transfered to a recorded message about the national Do Not Call list, which I'm already on.
I googled the number and found this site. Anyone know how to get these jerks to quit calling? Cocoa FL Police? Florida BBB?
