Got a call from this number. He called me by my first name and told me I won a cruise because of some site I supposedly visited on the Internet. I told him he got the wrong number. He called me by my first name again, and I told him that if he'd been paying attention, he would have heard me tell him he got the wrong number. He sounded confused when he thanked me and hung up. :) That number is blocked now.
Those fooled by the "free cruise" scammers will be left waiting at the dock for a ship that never comes, while the scammers sail away with their credit card information!
P. T. Barnum was right about there being a sucker being born every minute. As long as people are stupid enough to fall for this kind of garbage, it'll keep happening.
When we add greed into the mixture, it can turn normal people, into people who make foolish decisions. Just hearing the words "free" and "save" can distort common sense. Unfortunately, people taken in by this, and other scams, soon learn there is a price to be paid for most anything of actual value.
