Had it with these types of calls today. Pressed zero as instructed and told them I was willing and wanted the loan. Said I'd agree to any contract, told them they can record it, write it down, file it, whatever. They've worn me down, I will purchase whatever service they have to offer.
She told me we could get started by my giving her the name of my business. I made up a reasonable sounding name and she seemed delighted to have a sale. Told me to wait a moment for the supervisor and would be right back. Line went dead seconds later and I've received no call back.
This is going to be my new strategy for a while. I am neither afraid nor intimidated by these people and will agree with anything they have to say or sell. They can sue or come after me or do whatever they like. Will make no difference. None of 'em will ever receive a single penny from me no matter what they do or how they perceive my reaction to their sales pitch.
Way to go JG - great strategy! My wife is a former attorney and you have it backwards - THEY can be sued, not you. You have done absolutely nothing wrong, they have. Just had my turn at this one - a hang up with no message in our case. We have begun working with the phone company - they monitor all incoming calls, and have the ability to track the actual source of them, even from spoofed numbers. The downside is that we have to keep a log of "good" versus "bad" calls and may have to testify in court. Can do, gladly! Oh, and a nice call blocker box is nice to have too. They can still call, but it recognizes blocked numbers and hangs up on them before we are even bothered.
Looks like these calls may be coming from this one: http://ezloans.biz/
Notice anything unusual? Like no address for this scummy scam company? Odd that there are no obvious public records for them. Passing this along to the feds.
