Solicitation for energy savings, when I informed the caller that we were on the do not call list, and asked why they did not check that before calling me, she got snotty with me.
The call was made from a cell phone and I believe it to be a scam.
I got a call from someone with a foreign accent. He said that my Google searches were being tracked and some sort of software was infected on my computer. I told him I do not own a computer. He replied with then why are you talking to me if you don't have a computer. And then he hung up.
Obviously a SCAM with this many complaints! This number shows up almost every day on my caller ID ... from the comments here and other sites - it appears to be a Energy Service SCAM! I have reported this number numerous times to the State of Florida and National Do Not Call registries - with absolutely NO luck! I am now complaining to my phone service provider which is stopping some of the calls. The problem is that they stop one number and I get 3 more! I have a phone that has 30 blockers, plus the phone carrier which has another 30 numbers I can block ... plus a "call blocker" that has over 180 numbers already blocked! Why is it that we have to pay for our phone lines, only to get unwanted calls? At least if they send us mail, the post office is making a little $$$!
