Calling our cells in NY. Filed complaints at donotcall.gov
Everyone should keep track of all these bogus calls and file them with donotcall.gov... Otherwise the telemarketers are winning. The FCC levies HUGE fines, but we have to do our part. It's fast, free and easy. I collect a few months worth of calls and submit them all at once. It has been reducing the quantity we get.
Got this call @10:19 am 1/13/14. Selected one - speak to a travel agent. Wasn't even able to finish the sentence "put me on your do not call list" since she hung up before I finished.
I got a call from this number (321-632-5642) on my work cell on the morning of 1/13/2014. They did not leave a message. By the time I called them back a bit later that morning, I got a recording that the number was no longer in service.
If you get a robocall from a telemarketer it is ILLEGAL whether or not the number called is on the Do Not Call Registry and should be reported to the FTC -- In the meantime, their advice online if you do get such a call is:
Hang up the phone. Don't press 1 to speak to a live operator and don't press any other number to get your number off the list. If you respond by pressing any number, it will probably just lead to more robocalls.
Consider contacting your phone provider and asking them to block the number, and whether they charge for that service. Remember that telemarketers change Caller ID information easily and often, so it might not be worth paying a fee to block a number that will change.
Report your experience to the FTC online at or by calling 1-888-382-1222.
