Expect to hear ANYTHING from telepests, including terroristic and death threats. You told them you're on the DNC list, and to many, that's very offensive. When you hear what they're calling about, it's often best just to hang up on the caller, if you have to take the call at all. You shot him down, but it's a small victory if they can get in the last word to possibly anger you.
