They call, I answer he informs me that they a "local ranking listing" company. I tell him I already taken care of this. He hangs up before I could even finish my sentence.
I blocked this number on my iPhone but it somehow continues to ring my number. The last time this number called me I used Danny "The Tourette's Guy" (of youtube fame) soundboard that provides a bevy of vulgar words and phrases. So whenever those criminals cold call me they'll be in for an audible surprise!
Hey Jasper, I know how infuriating those calls are, and wanting to "get even" with those callers might seem gratifying, but let me warn you that those callers can end up getting your name, your spouses name, your home address, business address, etc, via a simple google search through public records, spokeo and websites that post home owners' names and address for public viewing for property tax ascessment purposes. I had this happen to me once by "playing games" with a very foul-mouthed telemarketer from India five years ago. Believe me it was NOT a pleasant experience; in actuality it was very scary for some foreign ratbag to have my name and my wife's name and home address threatening me and my wife through postal mail and phone calls with spoofed numbers. I had to have the police involved in the matter for nearly a year. The police were never able to track down this scumbag, but the calls were indeed coming from India. That's all that is known. And thankfully the hell that me and my wife were going through with this telemarketer (criminal) eventually stopped. By answering a telemarker's call your phone number is displayed to the caller. It's in their call bank. I have a blocked caller ID, but my phone number was still intercepted by this telemarketer who made my life hell for almost a year. A good rule of thumb is to realize that MOST, if NOT ALL, of the unsolicited cold calls that you receive coming from unfamiliar phone numbers will likely be from a criminal making those calls. Please JUST IGNORE them!
