Ok this is a scam I called the capital one fraud dept an they are very helpful here is what happened like the previous comment I got a call and got recording to press one so I did and the lady said I had 2000 in debt which was way over actual then said I had good payments that never missed an paid extra that's right then asked for exprecion date so I told her then she told me first 6 numbers and asked for the rest to look up my account see the flag they told me I was good payer then needed numbers to look up account she asked 2 times for the number explaining I'm not liable and not asking for back number so agrivated I hung up here is the kicker folks she called back from a 800 number I saved under capital one from previous dealings she aggressively asked 2 more times with a big spill and reasons for every question and statement I hung up I pondered a few hours if they really could lower my interest from 19 to 2.5 like she said so when I got home I looked up the fraud number and went that route cause they can transfer if it's true so I gave him the story and capital one will never ask for all 16 just last 4 and last 4 of social to look up your account so at the end of all of this I dodged the scam got education and a lower interest rate from 19 to 16 I can live with that so remember if it's to good to be true check it oh the fraud unit said make sure you get a name an company an possible web sight from the scammers to further help them
