Dear Annoyed, This is a scam. You need to take all the information you got form this person and file reports with your state attorney general, the FBI, the FTC and Homeland Security. These people are basically terrorizing people by telling them that they owe on a payday loan or some other tpye of debt, which is COMPLETELY false. As you can see by your experience they often refuse to give specifics about the loan or bill or who it was with. If they finally do give informaiotn the companies are either bogus, or have never heard of you. This scam has been running about two years.A number os state attoeny generals have issued warnings about them. I have been putting up with these phone calls for 4 months now. Like me, they have stolen your information, and are using it. The things they claimn they will do are illeagal and they cannot do them. They may even call your work and friends if they have that information. for example, if you ever applied for a payday loan online, they will have your work and referecnces. You should also put a fraud watch on all your accounts. Good luck, these people suck - I can't wait until they are caught and sent back to whatever hole they crawled out of.
I just received a call from what showed on my caller ID as 223.390.4400. Strong Indian accent, but said his name was Charles Johnson from a company called Legal Backoffice. He said a debt was due and a "case had been downloaded" against one of my employees but it sounded fishy so I looked it up and found this. The number above is the number he gave me to have the employee call back on.
Yeah I just hung up with them.... I keep calling back & messing with them & they keep hanging up on me!!! They called me like 2months ago saying the same thing!!! JUST DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFO TO THEM!!
guy with heavy indian accent called said he was from some law office name was keith medicine told me had loan default from pay day one said he was gonna download charges in mn for defaulting on loan wanted payment now to stop it from being down loaded when asked for what was told for check forgery and theft when looked up 323 205 3207 it is a land line that is unpublished
So recived a call from "aladin" aka lloyd conner who says he works for an Attorney and legal services in california the number shown is 3232053207 saying that we have not paid a "insta cash" loan that we never recived through our bank, and that we need to pay it back with fees and everything totalling $966.24. DONT BELIEVE THEM just hang up. Lesson learned....... dont trust anything on the internet, and or "loans" just get money the right way face to face!!
