Hung up as soon as I picked up. We have a loan from Countrywide also, but not shopping for a refi. I received a notice from Countrywide several months ago that a former employee had stolen personal info for many Countrywide customers. Countrywide provided a free subscription for credit check due to that incident. Maybe this is some how related?
Called at 3:41 pm asking for personal information regarding a mortgage refinance I inquired about. I told him I had no mortgage and insisted it was identity theft. I asked him to open an identity theft claim and reveal what information he has about me so that a fraudulent mortgage is not opened, and he hung up on me. I am also on the do not call list.
These morons have called repeatedly over the last six months.Have told them over and over again that I do not own property, that they should take me off their list, but they continue to call.
