is this not covered under the "do not call" law?

how can we report these SOBs & get this kind of crap put to a stop?

It is Federal violations for you to solicit to personal cell and home phones.  Your phone and business has been reported to "National Do Not Call".

I too would like to know how to get rid of these invasive text messages...

I too received unwanted/ solicitation text message to my cell phone which cost me $0.10 from unknown company at phone number 323-236-7214 stating: "Credit card debt $10,000 or more? Please let us show you how to eliminate that debt and lower your high monthly payments. More info? Text back Yes." I've filed a complaint (one page) and you can too with the FCC. This activity is not just annoying but illegal. Here is the form:
