This number has called my home several times. It shows Los Angeles on my caller ID. I have never answered it, because I know no one and don't do business with anyone in Los Angeles. I know it is some damn pest trying to sell me something. Didn't work. They are now blocked.
I am seriously considering disconnecting my land line. This number shows Securhome on caller ID. The problem is not the spammers, it is the phone company that are partners with these spammers. That is why Verizon allows you to block 10 numbers only. Verizon derives major revenues from these spammers. They even assigned them caller ID.
Do Not Call list is also a major joke and another example of government waste.
I've gotten a lot of calls from this number recently. Finally got PO'd enough to answer. It is in fact a sales pitch for a wireless security system. Nicole, I'm pretty sure, was a live person. As she was about to transfer me to a security specialist, I spoke her name and said wait. I then stated I didn't want to spend their time, or mine, talking about something that I was not interested in. She said OK and apologized for disturbing me.
A prevalent premise is that answering only gets you more calls. If telemarketers would leave you alone when you say to take your number off their list, most of us would do that.
