MSG was left for my hubby, the msg stated there is a civil complaint in the investigative stage, and my hubby is named the respondant. He gave a case #. If he doesn't respond this will result in court action. The caller didn't give his name or the firm name. All I can say is send it in writing, returned receipt requested.

I received a similar voice mail. I returned the call to be confronted by a individual claiming to be an investigator and stating a credit card account i settled years ago was brought out of collection and they were attempting to sue me. However, i could settle out of court by talking to this individuals director. They would not give me an address and just kept listing off charges i was being charged and that i can settle out of court if i wished.
I have received no official documents and, as I said, settled this account long ago. Interesting new tactic.
Received a similar call. They also call under the number (323) 244-4600. Searched for an address or business name. None is found. I checked with the BBB, no listing. However called on Saturday and they said their name was "Asset Investigative Services" on their answering machine. Don't know who they are or what they want.
I received similar call, someone stating they were "Investigator So & So" and asked for someone I've never heard of. Scary thing was they asked if this was the "(our name) residence" first (however, we are listed in the phone book).
