These people refuse to go away and I refuse to donate. I did make the mistake of donating once, but I usually refuse to answer the multiple calls. The latest call came in while I was on another call, and I made the mistake of flashing to take the call. They do call ad infinitum and, at least, they do identify themselves so you can know who you are refusing to answer.
This company has found a way to force the recipient of the call to wake up, get out of bed, and go to the answering machine. Even though I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, I repeatedly get late-night calls from this number. I lower the ringer volume on the phone each night before going to bed, but this company goes for the answering machine after only a minimum number of rings and leaves the following message: IF YOU WISH TO MAKE A CALL, PLEASE HANG UP AND TRY AGAIN...followed by a repeated loud beeping noise. This cycle continues until there is no more answering machine time left, but by which time I have been awakened. This happens often, entirely too often; and I now consider it to be a dangerous threat to my health. The extreme heat in Southern CA has already taken a toll on this 70+ year old woman who desperately needs to be able to sleep at night.
