Total scam. If they were a law firm, you'd have had letters - lots of them, not some threatening phone call.
Remember, federal law states that the debt collector (or lawyer working as or on behalf of a debt collector) MUST MAIL - email or fax is no good - information showing that you owe them money. If they won't mail that information to you, then per federal law, regard them as frauds and scammers. And a bill is not proof you owe either.
Report these losers to the FTC and your state's Attorney General, and block their number.
Called me claimed I ordered hair products in 2011 and that I only paid for the first shipment. They wanted over $700 and claimed they were a law firm and if I didn't pay I had to go to court in Florida. I never ordered hair products in 2011 and when I asked what company I had ordered from, they said they did not have that information.
