Total scam. They asked my mom to wire $648 from a Walmart by the end of the day or risk getting thrown in jail. I called them back at 323-271-4688 and talked with a Thomas Curran who was the "attorney" in charge of my mom's case. I asked them the case number and they couldn't give it to me. I asked him what law firm he worked for and didn't get an answer. He had pretty bad grammar for an attorney. I had an attorney call on behalf of my mother and they hung up on him. He said he was not a debt collector. Bogus.
(323) 271- 4688. I got a few voicemails from 2 separate people from this business or whatever it is. They said that they are in the "pre-legal department of American Credit Adjusters. So pretty much they are a debt collection company. All these company say they need to talk to upu before charges or filed or anything legal happens. They just want to get there commission for whatever money they collect and they cannot do anything, legally, to anyone. Maybe civil, but its not like they can.force you to pay, especially is you don't have money. Obviously they wouldn't be calling you if you had money to pay it in the first place! Lol. These people are extremely aggervating!! I have received 3 voicemails in the past 2 days and probably 10 or more calls in the past few days. (323) 271-4688
My daughter got a phone call from a guy claiming to be an attorney and threating to put her in jail if she does not pay 936.11 via Money Gram. Which State attorney will demand for you to pay something without giving you the benefit of the doubt? I then call and asked why we haven't gotten any notice in the mail and he went on ranting...... We did our own investigation and the Criminal Justice had no information on my daughter.
It's two for the price of one. Not only are they trying to trick you out of money, but your personal information, too. Cold calls regarding finances, bogus debt, or computers (especially from foreigners) are almost always scams unless YOU have initiated contact.

A Jack Kennedy stating he was with Morgan, Meyers & Robbins Attorney-at-law and was going to file charges in on of the local counties that I use to live in. The charges are a felony of $749 to a loan company I use approx. 7 yrs. ago, he even left me a case number. Something about the State's Attorney will be handling this, he had my kids name and some personal information. He started to ask personal questions about myself and that's when I asked him who he was with and to let me know what judge he goes before today in court cause I'll call that judge to make sure it's all on the up and up that's when he got rude and hung up. I've never been in trouble before and my record is clean, never been in trouble with the law. My daughter called and was upset about this so I called the local PD and was advised to contact the States Attorney which I'm doing to get this handled.
