Some lady called my mother (who doesn't speak any English) and told her in Spanish that she owed money for some bra's (brand unspecified) which were ordered on the internet. My mother doesn't even have or know how to use a computer! She threatened my mother into paying around 1100 dollars and if she didn't she would be sued and imprisoned! THIS IS A SCAM! DON'T FALL FOR THIS WOMAN!
Woman called my coworker spoke in spanish, claimed to be a lawyer calling for a company that my coworker allegedly owed money to for buying collagen a few months ago. (Of course, she never did.) Woman threatened my coworker would be getting a summons to go to court over this if she didn't pay by Monday. Coworker told her to stop calling, she called back 3 times in a row, finally coworker threatened to call the police, and she stopped calling.
Obviously a scammer preying on possible illegal immigrants fears.
My mom received the same type of call from that number. It was also in Spanish and the lady said she was calling to let her know that a summons was going to be mailed with information regarding a lawsuit that was being made against her. The lady on the phone said her name was Katia Jimenez and when asked about her credentials, she dodged the question. I called and asked her for the address of her agency and she promptly hung up. She spoke with authority perhaps in hopes of intimidating victims.
323-271-4905 call me and tells me that i need it to pay the amount of 1114 or i will go to jail, because of a package that I was sent. obviously this is a scammer, I'm going to do a report about it,. all I know about this number is that is from montebello ca. los angeles ca. be aware of this number is a scam.. the weird thing is that they have to much information of me, like my SSN and much information, now I have to secure my social security number or otherwise I'm gonna get a fraud. be careful anyone of this scam. and thank to the previous comments, their were help full.

I just got through dealing with a cituation like this right now and I want to thank those of you who took your time to post this information becuase it really helped me. I had an Ernerto Suarez calling himself a lawyer extremely eager to help my father get out of the $2,975.00 lawsuit for a fee of $180.00. He was a spanish speakin man with a high pitch voice like that of a woman. Very pushy saying we only had a limited time to give him the payment and becuase we told him there were no credit cards available he game me a bank account from wellsfargo to go make a deposit in the next forty minutes. If it doesn't feel right it mostlikely isn't.
