Fraud Call ... The caller identifys himself as follows: "Good Afternoon Lara, this is special agent Danny Lopez from the DA, Drug Enforcement Administration, Narcotics Unit, Division 78 of Los Angeles and we are conducting an open and ongoing investigation in which your name has surfaced and we do need to ask you a few questions. You may contact call at (323) 300-8402. Have a nice day."
The call is bogus. There is no such unit or agent. The language used is not consistent with actual law enforcement terminology. Friends of mine have received similar calls so I suspect a friend's contact list has been hijacked by fruad suspects.
