I got a similar phone voicemail recording from Judy Smith from US Treasury that I did not reply to a tax petition. This is a final notice and if I do not answer p, then I will be arrested and appeared to the Supreme Court. The recording left me a phone # 773-225-3588 to call back. I knew it was a fraud coz IRS always send penalty or petition by mail never phone call. if it was truly IRS , they should be able to obtain my work # or cell #.
This is a scam, person calls stating they are the collection agency for the IRS and that we owed 4500. in back taxes and if we didn't pay them at least 2k by wire they would send the cops to arrest us at work.
We hung up and called back and it didn't have a voice mail and no answer so we goggled the number and saw that 100's of people are reporting it as a scam... Thank god we didn't give them a dime!!!
called that I owed money to IRS if I did not answer the cops (not police) would have me arrested. I called back(from different number) they answered said IRS department of ... I asked what department? they hung up, I called again line now busy SCAM.... warn your family members who may not know better
I just got the same threatening message about owing taxes to the IRS and the fact that I would be arrested... What is wrong with people.. How about getting off your lazy butt and get a job instead of trying to steal from people who actually work to earn their hard earned money... what SCUMS!
