I've been receiving calls from this number stating that my husbands ex-wife is my sister. That this agency is looking for her for investigation purposes. We are not sisters. We don't live in the same state and we do not communicate. I'm really bothered by the fact that they are using my name to locate her. I don't know how they got my phone # and linked us together. It really bothers me. I cannot find any information on this company. Please be mindful of this scam. It's really scary. I have been trying to call this number back, but I just keep getting a recording and can't figure out what the name is exactly.
I received a voicemail from "Erica Davis" stating I was being "investigated for check fraud", and that I need to call her back immediately. I could hear a man's voice in the background of the voicemail telling another caller the EXACT same thing, so I figured this had to be a collection agency or some kind of scam.
I have a bank account in perfect standing currently and have never been in trouble for check fraud; let alone investigated at the State level.
I searched this site and apparently this Erica Davis works for many, many companies and states the same thing regarding check fraud. Must be a complete scam. She stated she worked for a company called Castle Lundberger & Associates (or Rundberger, hard to understand her message). Either way, I have not been able to find any company with this name on the net thus far.
this number called me for the last two weeks nonstop over some check fraud issue. i can't believe it. i have written 12 checks a year for 12 years, for rent haha never been involved in any check fraud and have a wondrous perfect bank account. i have no idea what the scam is or how they got to me. they even left a message at my parent's home. so i cursed the woman out the last time she called and hung up. but i have a feeling they will call again. why, i dont know. they arent getting anything out of me
After reading all of your guys' posts, I realize that I have been sucked into this phone scam as well. Some gentleman called saying I am investigated for check fraud, which is crazy since I don't even have checks! I just wish these people would get a real job rather than trying to ruin other people's lives and taking their money. These people should be arrested for fraud! Rather than trying to blame other people. I just wonder how they are getting my name and number.
I have received a call from this company the last two days, the man's name is Bob Jackson the company is Cassel Runberg & Associates, this person has called my job numerous of times. What can we do to stop them from harrassing us.
