I received a call they listened to my voice & hung up. I called back and a lady answered something about Attorney Center. I asked her to remove my # from their list and she didn't speak English only Spanish.
got a call saying it was an urgent message from sgt romano... was freaked out thinking something had happened to one of my kids..... so called them back... some guy, who could barely speak english answered the phone and said he was from the DEA in CA... and asked for my name... since I know none of my kids live in CA... just hung up on him... [***] *&^%'s
I received a call from this same number on my cell phone. First he called my house from an 800 number claiming we had won $310,000! Told me I had to go to my bank to verify my identity and that he would call me on my cell with further instructions.
Said he was from Bank of America and the winnings were from unclaimed Publishers Clearing House & Readers Digest Sweepstakes.
I was extremely suspicious and never gave any personal information out but thought I would see where he went with it and drove to my bank. He finally hung up on me when I wouldn't do what he said to do.
Now I discover my debit card number has been stolen. In the process of disputing erroneous charges and getting my money returned! Don't know if they were related incidents but am wondering!
