A woman with a friendly voice asking for donations for Breast Cancer victims. I politely declined - maybe they were legitimate maybe not. Do not trust any one who makes cold calls ever under any circumstances.
Called and asked for me by name. I asked who was calling and they said they were from some Breast Cancer research foundation and at that point I hung up. If I want to donate to a charitable organization, I won't do it through solicitation via a phone call. I donate to the charities of my choice taken directly from my paycheck monthly, annually etc. whatever I designated.
i am really starting to get very bummed. i turned off my landline ringer (i have to have landline for my son for emergency purposes), i turned off voicemail for that phone. i had the phone company turn off voicemail that is connected to my number. i haven't used my landline in over a year. it has been blissfully peaceful regarding these phone calls.
but now...now...i have been getting more and more calls on my cell phone. i have gotten about 5 calls this week alone. today i got two so far. the problem with this is i have a special needs kid so i can't just block all unknown numbers. every time the phone rings and i don't recognize the number i have to look it up real fast and see if it is listed here or in case it is someone that i need to speak with. not every one every time leaves a message. they might just try to call back later.
i'm so bummed. i don't want my cell phone ringing all the time for no reason. I HATE THESE CALLERS!!!!!
