This number was on my caller ID. As soon as I picked up the phone, they hung up. It's probably someone that's trying to see if the home owner is at home. If not, it's an open invitation to break into your home.
I wonder if all of us whom have received the calls are located in NW Houston. If so, there have been a rash of home break-in burglaries. The number on our caller IDs could have been altered via "spoofcard.com." People I know have had someone to knock on their doors during the day. They chose not to answer the door. Then 3 young black men went around to the back of their homes and broke in. All of the people I know that had that happen went to their bedrooms and locked the door. The burglars took what they wanted and left. One little old lady was beaten badly and left for dead. Another had video cameras in their home and got video of the culprits.
I view any unknown or anonymous phone calls from California to be equal in importance to that of an email from Ghana or Nigeria telling me to share $ 140,000,000,000,317.49 with the prime minister of international scams who has this amount in locked-in funds. If to please sent your ID, credit card numbers, and hat size, blah, blah, blah. So I just ignore it.
I live in WY and received a call from them at 8:30PM but didn't answer due to my mood. I really wish they'd take their weekends off so we could be left in peace for at least 2 days a week.
