We get calls from this number frequently and simply blocked it. I seriously doubt whether they'll stop calling. The only way they'll stop calling is if people refuse to do business with them. My rule: NEVER do business with robo-callers; never give to charities that use these robocall tactics (they're often fake anyhow).
Another home improvements caller. She said they were licensed. I asked for the contractor's license number and company name. She said 994363 and Dream Builders. I looked up the license number at https://www2.cslb.ca.gov/onlineservices/CheckLicenseII/checklicense.aspx and saw the following:

I told her that this was an illegal call because my number was on the FCC Do Not Call Registry. She said she didn't know anything about that and asked again if I wanted any home improvement work. I politely said I wasn't interested in doing business with people making illegal calls. She gasped quietly and hung up.
I called 323-355-5252, the caller ID number, and got a message that it was not in service. Then it said the letters S P O K, whatever that means.
I called the (800) 287-1808 number and got an answer from a person with an accent, possibly Spanish. I told the person to stop calling my number. He asked for my number and I gave it to him. He asked for my name. I told him he didn't need that, just stop calling my number. He said OK.
