Yes it is a credit card scam!!!!!!! I contacted my credit card merchant and told them the story that was presented to me wanting to do 2 $4000 transactions for a $6500 estimate I gave her through email. And they told me not to run it because it was a scam. The lady that contacted me through email used the name Maria Sanches and claimed to be hearing impaired. Emailed me an address to give her an estimate. I went and measured and gave her an estimate and she instantly accepted. She gave me the credit card # name exp. date and so on. Long story short . I got suspicious and called my merchant account and told them the story and they said they had a couple other clients that had run the card and got into a bunch of finacial trouble.
We had this same thing today! Maria Sanchez. Went to an empty house on Hansard drive in Charlotte. Wanted to charge $6000 and have us send $3000 to her plumber. SCAM!!
