On 9-15-2010, I got a call from myself (which is impossible) on my Magic-Jack internet phone. Calling oneself just drops you in your voice-mail menu. It seems that I left a message for myself (impossible) which is converted to a (.wav) file and e-mailed to my selected e-mail account. When I played the email audio file, there was a lot of clicking like someone was connecting wires to a phone line, then extremely loud music played for 15 seconds.
Then I started getting calls with no audio, 10 or 15 times a day. I attempted to call the number back to tell them to quit calling, and all I got was an automated Mexican speaking voice-mail routing recording asking me to key in the extension of the party I wish to speak to. At least that is all I could cipher from the message. I don't speak Mexican, or any other language but English.
Now when people call me, the received audio on my end cuts out after the first syllable. I guess the loud audio burnt out my Magic-Jack. I will have to spend another $40 for a new one, and now I'm debating if I should get a new phone number too.
I think I've been CrACKED !
