I can't believe that someone would pretend to be in the military and scam people for money.  Luckily, I found out before I sent any money!!

Hi there. I am replying to your post. I met this guy on a dating website and he has a pic of himself in military attire. USMC attire. I have been texting back and forth with him and decided to google his name and found this on him. He has not asked me for money or anything like that. So he is not real. Omg!! Unbeliveable!! He says he is deployed in nigeria and will be back home in May. I can't believe this. His profile is on that dating website, OKCUPID. Why would someone do this?

The phony person has a profile on the dating website OKCUPID. The username on this profile is JOSESAN1 and he said his name is Jose Rivas. He text me stating he is in the Marines and is deployed in Coal City Camp, Enugu state in nigeria with his team for a six month mission there. He says he is a staff sergent with the USMC and will be home by May.23rd. I am on that dating website trying to find love and I decided to google his name and I find out his is a scammer trying to get money out of people. I can't belive this. He has not asked for money but when he contacts me again I will let him have it. Can't believe we have men like this in this world. Really sad. Thank god I googled his name.
