This is definitely a scam.  I posted on Craigs List with room/ house share.  I've received more than one response, from different emails and phone numbers.  Not sure what their scam is, but there's something wrong.  It's always from a female, that describes herself as goody goody with a degree and looking for more schooling in the US (she is from overseas, or Canada, or Hawaii - always a remote area so she can't call or receive calls)  wants room to rent for a year.  Will pay up front, site unseen (her Daddy paying all her bills).  Always asks if I have a garage because she is shipping her car to use.  Sometimes asks for a picture of the room.  That must be the set-up for the scam.  They always contact by email or text.  The stories vary but are very similar.  They ask for more info from me like name, address etc.  You can also look for weird email addresses.  Not usually a person's real name and always a gmail.com address.  Good luck and watch out for these.
