I received a call at my job from this number and foreign lady asked for me and stated she was trying to deliver legal documents.
here goes the scammers! Staring early in 2017. SMH
I received a call from this number saying they wanted to deliver legal documents then gave me another number to call 888-820-7194 saying I had a payday loan and was deposited into my checking account and that I never paid it closed my checking account and now they havent been able to reach me but didnt have lthe information on when the loan was taken out or who the company was.
I have received multiple calls from this number in the last week. The first time I answered. The caller wanted to know if I would be home tomorrow. She said she wanted to serve legal papers on me. She claimed to be from a company called "Civil Procedures." She declined to specify what it was about specifically, but she gave me a "court case number". She advised me to call another number (which I wrote down). When I asked her the name of her company again, she seemed put out, but again said "Civil Procedures." I have googled that name but found no company that serves legal documents. (Of course, if one googles "civil procedure" and "service of process" one gets numerous hits in which those two terms are used in the same sentence or paragraph.) I do not owe money except to my mortgage holder and that is current, so it can't be a legitimate bill collector. I know of no one who has any kind of legal beef with me, so the likelihood that I am being sued out of the blue is very remote. The most likely explanation is that this is a scam of some sort. The next most likely explanation is that she has the wrong person. My surname is uncommon, but it so happens that there are two persons in San Diego with that name. After the first call I stopped answering, and she doesn't leave messages.
