An unwanted call from this invalid (spoofed) L.A. number arrived today.  When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message, just dead space.  Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) sometimes use this ploy to determine if the number called is legit, and they often spoof (fake) their number of origin to cover their tracks.

Of course, this could have been a "wrong number" call, but from a spoofed number?
