I received more calls from telemarketer at Professional Builders & Remodeling, Inc, since owner Yaron "Ron" Schweiger agreed to take my name off his internal listing and gave me a $250 settlement in lieu of court. Now must pursue this same issue again. Also uses spoofed number 323-900-5922. Predictive auto dialer. Call came in with same CID as used before by Sweiger's company Professiona; Builders and Remodeling. Answered and waited 12 seconds, recorded voice came on and said "goodbye" and disconnected call. I hit redial and got a recorded message with several choices, including entering an extension number. I entered "101" and got an outgoing male voice mail saying "This is Ron Schweiger, leave me a message and I will return your call." I left message with name and phone number that I was disappointed to still be getting telemarketing calls and wanted to discuss that with him.
Telemarketer called many times back in February. I finally got a company address and wrote demanding they stop calling and requested a copy of their Do Not Call policy as required by law.
Business owner Yaron "Ron" Schweiger wrote back on Professional Builders & Remodeling, Inc letterhead with apology and a copy of their policy. I just put it in a file folder.
They called back again twice this month. I called and informed Schweiger I would be filing a Small Claims suit for $500 for each violation of his own policy and TCPA rules restricting telemarketers, and his liability totaled $2500. He decided to make a cash settlement offer rather than go to court and have a civil judgment against his license and corporation. I accepted his offer and have now received and deposited his generous settlement check.
I have other similar cases in the works right now against companies who refuse to obey consumer protection law, and plan to take them all down for violating my privacy and not following federal law. Who says getting calls from telemarketers can't be fun and profitable? Just check this website like I did for details on holding telemarketers accountable and protecting yourself.
