Just got the exact call. Investigator Redman, call was unknown and left 323-498-1140. I also looked and there is nothing. It's sad that they believe they can scare people to call them. I mean, when does a sheriff call someone to make sure they are going to be home or at work so they can serve them??? If it was an actual bill someone owed, they must mail something. Please don't fall for these scammers..
Received 2 voicemails from 'Investigator Redman' advising that he would be appearing on 12/18 at my residence or place of employment with the Sheriff's Office to issue a summons......however, I could call him at 323-498-1140 to RESCHEDULE if I needed. It's like if the police were going to serve a warrant but I call to to say....Thursday doesn't work for me, could you come out next Tuesday.....to either my home or work?!?!?!? Investigator Stevens & "THE LAW OFFICE OF PHILLIPPS AND REINHART " Have called me from 323-498-1140 & a 800 number telling me things like I have a warrant for my arrest or a bench warrant has been issued. They even gave me a case number 421577 USNA..??? ok .. I called them back only to be threatened , screamed at & told I owe money to some company I have never heard of! first it was over 5 grand then it was 900 bucks! Scam !! I called the local authorities because I needed peace of mind, they search for a warrant for my arrest and NO I did not have one! If I owe money then why don't I get a bill or a collection notice in the US MAIL??? I would respond much better to that then threats! And why would they warn me about a warrant for my arrest? UMM hello most cops want to surprise you so you don't run or hide! LOL those people are scam artists and they don't follow the rules as true debt collectors should!! If they are really debt collectors!?!
