I have also received calls from this number - claims to be "American Law Division," and the caller claimed to be "Jessica Brown" in heavily accented English (sounded Indian),
This same person just called me today unknow number and indian accent stating i have a lawsuit against me and I'm in big trouble . This is ridiculous and on top of that they called my cell phone.
I received a call from this number several times and the guy said his name was Steven Martin. When I called back I spoke with a Mark who had such a heavy accent that it was very hard to understand him, rude and talked over me.He claims that I owed them a debt that he was trying to collect on and that if I didn’t pay that I would go to jail. I asked him what is name of company he said it was Cash Advance Group for a payday loan, I also asked how much they claim I owe, he didn’t answer stating that he didn’t have that information and said that I was going to be sue me for $5,000 which he knew I didn’t have and that I would have to come to California to go to court. He claims that he was an attorney. He then tried me to confirm my Bank name and account number, The guy ONLY wanted to probe me for information, and wouldn't allow me to ask him any questions. I told him this is a scam, I asked him to stop calling me and hung up.
I have received no less that 7 calls a day from this number. Each time the same voice leaves a message with a different name. Two of them are Michael Johnson and Bruce Jackson. He states my name and social are part of a national data base and now part of a national criminal investigation and they need to hear from me or my criminal attorney today. Failure to return to the call will result in moving along with their suit. Best of luck to me if I ignore this message and have a blessed day. They speak with broken heavily accented English. They sound Indian. I have reported the number to several agencies but they still call me daily.
Getting the same calls about 30 a day. Telling me that they will get me fired from my job. I will be spending Xmas in jail. Will not stop. I gave them $50.00 to just to keep them from calling. As I see I was a fool. The names they use is John White, Michael Stone & Kevin Matthews all have thick accents and very abbrasive. Told them to give me there Western Union # to send funds to but they said they did not have that. Also, said I was to late in requesting paper work to show who I was paying off and what I was paying off. John White wanted to come and meet me. I cannot believe I was so stupid to put myself in this situation. These guys are relentless. I just hate they are calling and harassing people at my work. So embarrassing.
