Was just called again by a male with a strong Indian accent, using the name "James Wapson" (I had him spell it) from 323-524-8405. He said he was with the Attorney General's office and that I had three felony charges pending against me and I needed to wait 15 minutes then call his boss, Attorney Ronnie Cooper, at 323-524-8405 to resolve my charges. He insisted on me repeating the name Ronnie Cooper at 323-524-8405 back to him. Knowing my record is clean, I played along for a few minutes, refusing to repeat the name and number back to him really upset him. I ask him his company name and location which caused him to pause then said "California", nothing more. During the brief pause, I could hear another male with an India-accent talking to another caller in the background. He hung up.
One hour and 26 minutes later another Indian-accented male called me back asking why I had not called Attorney Ronnie Cooper yet. I told him because I had to google the number and get to my local police department before I did. And told him he was fu..ing with the wrong person this time. He said no that he was fu..ing with the right person. I laughed and said to keep talking because I was now sitting in a detective's office, he was on speaker-phone and was being recorded. He hung up and haven't had another call since. I called the number back, getting "Karen's" voice mail, so I left "her" a voice male message with my first name and number (the number I gave was actually the police department's number).
Received a call Saturday at home and two more at work which I discovered when I downloaded voicemails this morning. They pronounced my first name wrong. My husband actually answered the phone when they called at home, but the man refused to talk to him. He said it was a legal matter and could only speek to me. Fortunately, I saved one of the messages from my work phone.
The man who called me was named Gavin Matthew and was also Indian. He also told me to either call him or have my retained attorney of record call immediately or he could only wish me good luck. I decided to goole the phone number and found all you guys.
I'm going to report the call to my local police department and state attorney general.
they just called me and said they were going to come and take me to jail if i dont give them my information for something i owe the government what should i do??
They called me names ands aid that they have my checking account number. They called off my Social Sercurity. What scared me most is that they did have my checking account number an I never have talked to them before to give them anything.

Hope this helps!
I had called the local police and I have been tracing the calls with my provider. In fact, they called when the police were here and the officer answered the phone as a police officer but they just hung up on him. n If they are in fact an indian call center there is NOTHING the US can do about it - and India just doesnt care enough - theyre still chasing the almighty US dollar
