called on 1/21/14...caller ID was "DIR ASST CA" i didn't pick up and then blocked the #

Caller ID shows California. Most likely this is a cell phone # or a fake #.  If it is a Dir Asst CA then it is someone trying to hack into using your phone.  So I'm just going to say this is some prison dude trying to scam you from their work programs.  Don't answer it.  Do report it such like others are doing.  These calls are dangerous.  So many phishing and stealing identities.  "Most" calls that come from 323 area code are telemarketers.   RED FLAG and do not trust.

Hangup call from this number at 2:37 pm 1-21-14.  Seems like a spoofed # to me.  Caller ID said "California" which is usually a cell phone, though this could be a scammer anywhere.

Called and said her name was Candace Daniels, asked to speak to me. Said I wasn't home and quickly hung up when I asked where she was calling from.

Another hangup call today at 11:32 am.  Morons.
