Our company received a call from this number today at 1215 hours. Caller ID said, "Los Angeles CA."  We've been getting multiple calls allegedly from the LA area.  Unfortunately, the boss answered.  The woman on the other end was quite cheered to be speaking with him and asked if he was still the owner of the business. Before he could make the mistake of saying that word you should never use with suspect calls, "yes," I cut in, telling her we're not interested, I'm tired of their frequent calls, to stop calling.  She kept hoping the owner of the company was still on the line but he had disconnected immediately when he heard that I had taken over the call.  (He's no fool.) Determined not to be deterred, the chirpy young woman asked, "Are you Mrs. [boss' last name]?"  That annoyed me on so many levels.  Still avoiding the "y" word so they couldn't take it out of context and try to claim we agreed to something, I told her, "I am his wife.  Not that it's any of your business."  I repeated for her to stop calling and disconnected without giving her another chance to be her falsely cheerful self.  These people just can't take a hint so that puts them firmly in the "scam artist" category in my book.  Based on previous alleged "LA" area calls, I suspect it might be some business loan shark.
