I received the same message about 8:00 am this morning. I called the 800 number back and was told that there had been suspicious activity on my apple id account and that there were more than 25 attempts from oversees to hack into my apple account. The man then ask me if I could plug my iphone into my computer. I told him I could not and ask him what I should do. He said to just reset my apple id password. I hung up. Suspecting it was a fraudulent call, I called Apple and reported the call. The Apple employee helped me check my account and verified that no other devices had hacked into my account. A couple of hours later I received another recorded call telling me not to use my Apple device before calling 800-815-5126 because there had been suspicious activity on their apple server. If you receive such a call or message, DO NOT follow the instructions and DO NOT CONNECT YOUR APPLE DEVICE TO YOUR COMPUTER. Immediately call apple at 800-649-7466 and report the fraudulent call.
Same. I called the number back & gave them hell. He asked for my name, which I didn't give. I told him I didn't have any apple products that would have an icloud that would be compromised so why the call. He told me I must be too immature to have an iphone. lol.
