Didn't answer it because I'm getting lots of spam calls and this looks like one of those

Called my business number so I answered, it was just dead air, I waited for awhile, but nothing ever happened.

I received a racist call that was both offensive and and threatning.

Only because there was some kind of answer on your end. You don't have to hear anything but a phone ringing if you're able to completely ignore unknown numbers. Don't rule anything out from thieves out to steal by threatening you. Giving them NO kind of answer puts the shoe on the other foot and they'll be the ones getting angry.
