I reported it to the FDA criminal affairs. I spoke with someone and had to submit an email. The person I spoke with at the FDA said that this scam is ongoing and that they had it under control for a little while and had made some arrests but that it seems to be operating again. She said the usual targets are the elderly who ordered prescription meds online. I am an attorney- they called my law firm, lol! The person who called me (Lieutenant Stacey Harper) said they confiscated a package being sent to me and that there was a warrant for my arrest and to search my home. I actually panicked because yesterday I had ordered paper goods from ebay for my son's birthday party, and I knew the item had been shipped. I thought I inadvertantly ordered something wrong! Before I figured out it was a scam, I called back and got the recording saying I reached the FDA and to leave a message, which I did. Shortly after speaking to the actual FDA, Lieutenant Harper called back my office! I said Lieutenant, you are calling an attorney and I know this is a scam so you should probably loose my number, and she just hung up... this world is crazy!!!

Thanks for your reply. That was the same woman who did that to me yesterday. This world is crazy. It makes me sad because if it was someone who was elderly they would have given it to her. She literally had me in tears because like you I had ordered something from the internet and thought maybe I had done something wrong as well. Thanks again.
Same thing exactly happened to me today... but I didn't call anyone. Lt. Lynne Thomas wouldn't let me off the phone. Walked me through a money transfer to the DEA in the Dominican Republic to start an identity theft investigation to clear my name and the money would be returned to me if Im found innocent. Im just disgusted. I took all this fake information thinking I was covering my [***], while she put me on hold to verify my stupidity I googled and called the FDA in San Fran where she gave me the address to. This number was not on the list. When she came back on the line I told her I had called them and they said she didnt exist. Was conveniently disconnected at that point. I've been had for $800 and am just disgusted that this number has been reported clear back from July and they are still up and running! Hating myself for falling for this. how cruel to make people believe they're going to get arrested and have to hire a federal atty etc, and my crime I guess is believing people. I did a police report here, the police even called and left a message but there;s really nothing they can do. WHAT can we do? Im pissed, hurt, disgusted... you name it!
Danielle, which FDA did you report to? I called the one in San Fran and he left me a voicemail of the scam but nothing about writing a report. I too was told a package had been confiscated. They had all of my information, had me in tears at how this could be happening... and because Im guilty of believing people got taken advantage of. I feel like a fool. Did a police report here, they even left a message on their machine, but I am not in California. Can you please pass on the email address so that I can report them as well. I am just disgusted. Thanks
