Caller ID said "Los Angeles, Ca,"...left a VM, someone claiming to be "Miss Turner," calling on behalf of "Just Energy," stating that I had to call her back concerning the gas account...I don't have a gas account...it's not PG&E, they know I haven't had gas service for over 25 years...and when I call back, I have to "axe" for "Miss Turner..."
Called claiming to be PG&E. Wanted to speak to the account holder. They refused to tell me why they were calling. I thought it was a scam so I put them on hold and by the time I came back (it was only a minute or so) they hung up. So now I'm pretty sure it's a scam.
Called our company, asked very firmly to speak with the account holder of PG&E , the person who answered the phone said "good luck with that" and hung up. Then, proceeded to ask the bookkeeper if the bill has been paid. LOL. Just another one of those sales ploys.
They trolled me so I trolled them back. Scammers. 4 calls directly in a row.
me after the 3rd call in a row on 4th call: hello?
them: can you hear me?
me: I sure can!
them: owner please ( by his name)
me: this is him
she pauses...youre the owner..?
me...yes
them: you are not ( owner name)
Me: you are not who you say you are!
them...I haven't told you who I am
( but they have called before as pg & e and I am not stupid!)
me: I know who you are....
me: hangs up!
lol :D
Very rude caller asking to talk to who is responsible for PG&E Bill...when pressed further said they were from Commerce Energy; would not give them any information.
Received a voicemail from 323-673-8510:
"Yes, my name is Miss Turner. I'm calling on behalf of Commerce Energy in regards to the gas account. I do need for you to contact me here at 844-373-6759. Again, it's Miss Turner. I will be in the office until 5. Thank you."
The call definitely originated from a call center as you could hear other people talking in the background.
Never heard of Commerce Energy in my area, so I googled it. I believe they're trying to get people to switch from another company to Commerce Energy.
They called us at a business main line. I believe they just randomly called residential and business numbers without knowing who are responsible for the utility bills.
