I believe some people reporting on this site do not realize the scammers they are reporting do not check out this site to see if their number has been listed. Probably gives the scammers an ego lift if they do check back.
.And, do we know if Penal Code 653(m) is legit? Some posters are a hoot!
It's legit all right-the guy's an idiot to think scammers are going to give a crap about the laws though

I had to really scroll to even FIND that (653 has a lot of sub-sections apparently-all marked with letters)-and even then it really doesn't apply to the situation. The phone company can't control people who spoof numbers (which is most likely what happened here) so blaming them really makes no sense (I was laughing at some of what's under that penal code number because the poster didn't give us much so I almost thought it was completely irrelevant).
