I get the IRS is going to sue me call all the time. I every time I ask them why I'm being sued they hang up on me. I don't really understand the point of the calls if nothing ever comes from the call..know what I mean?
It's Obama care call center that calls from numerous numbers, including this one so as soon as you block the number, they're calling you from a different number and area code. It's crazy!!!
I just got a call a few minutes ago from that number. It started out like a robo call with a voice that says "press 1 to speak with an person about health insurance, or press 2 to have name removed from our list". The person I spoke with claimed the company name was "American National".
So I pressed 1 to find out what this (scam) call was about. A guy calling himself "Jason" started talking about an amazing health plan, with 0 deductible and.... Well, Jason was talking really fast about how fabulous this plan was & he was going to send me a "text" that I could sign and make a payment of $286.15 along with an enrollment fee of $135. I told him to email me the info, since a text could not provide the necessary info so I could review it thoroughly. About that time my fiance called and I had to put the guy on hold to get her call. I only put him on hold for at most 25 seconds, but he was gone when I got back to his call.
I knew this was a scam from the onset, but wanted to see what kind of scam it was.
Funny how a few hours another robo call came in claiming to be the IRS who was going to sue me and to call some phony number blah blah. I just hung up on that one, since they had tried again yesterday.
The IRS NEVER calls people on first contact. They contact by MAIL at first.
