•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
Got same like massage. I also understand that the irs contact you by mail not by leaving a message on one's voice mail. My caller did not even use my name in the voice mail.
The list of telephone numbers has been reported to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. This agency has jurisdiction over impersonation of IRS agents. This is a scam that is international in scope and has already bilked millions of dollars from U.S. citizens. Be cautious of any follow up calls asking for you to pay taxes with a Green Dot or debit card. You will never get a call from the "Treasury" Department asking for tax payments. The IRS first sends multiple letters before any personal contact. I am a retired federal agent with more than 30 years investigating these types crimes.
