Indian man left this voice mail: "This message is from the department of legal affairs, the very next second you receive this message I need you to leave your work aside and dial the number, the number is 323-739-1748. Now, if you fail to return the call or if I don't hear from your attorney either, the only thing what I can do is wish you a happy life, and then law enforcement of your state will be soon at your doorstep. Thank you and have a blessed day." Irritating to receive a threatening call from L.A. all the way over here in Florida. Guess I did something REALLY bad...people these days...
This likely a scam:
Non-English speaking man leaves the following message on my home voicemail:
"This message is from the department of legal affairs, the very next second you receive this message I need you to leave your work aside and dial the number, the number is 323-739-1748. Now, if you fail to return the call or if I don't hear from your attorney either, the only thing what I can do is wish you a happy life, and then law enforcement of your state will be soon at your doorstep. Thank you and have a blessed day."
If this is an actual threatening phone call then you should contact your local police department and have them look into it. May be a case of wire fraud or, at the very least, criminal assault. I imagine the FCC & FBI will both be very interested in this.
