SCAM - A man with a middle eastern accent called and identified himself as Adam Rhodes with the Treasury Dept. He left a message on my voice mail since I do not answer numbers that are not in my contact list. He said the Treasury Dept. had started legal proceedings against me and that I needed to call him back at (323)786-1358. He said that if I was unable to call him, I should have my attorney call for me. You could hear other voices in the background like he was calling from a boiler room. I did not call back so they cannot verify my number. A search on Google shows that several scam calls originate from area code 323 and with the prefix 786, i.e. (323)786-xxxx. Other folks who have gotten this scam call have filed complaints with the FTC.
