Same as the others- guy keeps calling, leaving messages. I called the number back from my work phone. Indian man answered with "Department of Legal Affairs" I said to him. "I'd like it if you would stop calling me" The guy started laughing uncontrollably, I think said "I bet you have never heard that before" He continued to laugh, I could hear it was obviously in a call center. He did not respond and finally just hung up on me. Bizzare.
An Indian man just called our house and left a message claiming to be officer Ricky Stevens of the office of legal affairs. He proceeded to threaten all sorts of legal action if we don't call him back. We knew immediately it was a scam. If I may, please warn any older people of this scam as these calls may scare them. Not sure if these calls just cycle through names alphabetically, either way just tell everyone you know about this and don't call him back. Really, how do some people sleep at night?
Exact same thing, said he was from the Dept of Treasury and wanted my lawyers info for a pending lawsuit against me. He said an officer would be at my door with an arrest warrant if I didn't call a phone number, and the number he gave me was the exact same number he was calling me from. What a joke, as if someone is going to show up and drag me off to jail over something, anything to do with the dept of treasury. please.
